Collaboration with Mass Media

General description

This training is addressed to heads and representatives of non-profit organizations who are involved in PR of the organization, as well as those who want to develop their skills and knowledge in collaboration with mass media.

As a result of training the participants will:

  • General knowledge on public relations and its implementation tools 
  • Understand the features and benefits of working with mass media 
  • Identify the types and genres of mass media and their specifics 
  • Learn the main principles of working with journalists 
  • Be able to develop a press release 
  • Gain skills and experience in providing interview 
  • Become experienced in organizing press conference 
  • Learn some legislative provisions related to mass media collaboration

Training topics and methods

The training covers the following topics: 

  • Public relations – PR, definition and implementation tools 
  • The necessity of developing PR plan in advance: how to develop? 
  • Organizing media work 
  • Types of mass media and their characteristics 
  • Media genres: when and in what genre the event should be presented? 
  • Working with mass media and journalists 
  • Press release: the main principles 
  • Skills of providing interview 
  • Organizing a press conference 
  • Legislation on NGO – mass media relations

Participants are provided with printed materials with brief content of training topics and concrete examples of discussed materials. Training methods include presentation of slide shows, discussions, questions and answers, practical exercises on different topics, video shooting, review and discussion of practical work.

Training duration

The open (announced by CDPF) training duration is 12 hours. Ordered course duration is determined based on customer needs and preferences. The price for ordered training is 12000-14000 AMD (net) per hour.
