Aarhus Centers’ Evaluation for Sustainability Development-2010

With the request of Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) CDPF has conducted Aarhus Centers’ Evaluation for Sustainability Development.

Since 2002 according to the Understanding Memorandum signed between the Republic of Armenia (RA) Ministry of Nature Protection and OSCE office in Yerevan, Public Environmental Information (Aarhus) Centers were established in Armenia. The overall goal of the project was to help local Aarhus Centers strengthen their organizational development capacities, particularly through the development and implementation of long-term sustainability plan, including legal registration, and the setting up of organizational structures and fundraising mechanisms. CDPF legal advisers conducted interviews and later with the results achieved analyzed the current situation and possible risks of the Centers and proposed a model for future development as registered independent bodies.
